Marouane Chamakh Transfer News

Arsenal transfer target Marouane Chamakh has said, "It's practically sure," regarding his free agency this summer. The possibility of a new contract with Bordeaux seems to be non existent, as they don't appear to have the capability to resign him.
Arsenal have expressed profound interest in the French born Moroccan, and Arsene Wenger established his interest as early as August having said, "He is a player we were close to signing".

Chamakh has proved to be a prolific forward in Ligue 1 for Bordeaux, having scored 13 goals last season in the league during Bordeaux's title winning campaign, and 9 goals in the league this season.
The Morroccan looks set to join Arsenal, with numerous stories already having been leaked of an in-place pre-contract agreement; however,to remain diplomatic in the situation neither team is able to comment.
Chamakh would add to Arsenal's attacking options, which have been strained this season with the injury to Robin van Persie, Eduardo's lack of form, Bendtner's early injury, and Carlos Vela's Inexperience.
